Since our inception, Tennessee Community Mediation Center has been focused on building a strategic, quality mediation practice. 

Tennessee Community Mediation Center, formerly Gray's Mediation Practice, and the first of its kind in the state of TN, is a not-for-profit organization committed to helping the community succeed though mediation sessions and educational initiatives. Robert B. Gray

Founder/Lead Mediator

     Our founder, Robert B. Gray, is a TN Supreme Court (TSC) Rule 31 Listed and Trained Mediator, who is passionate about helping others and is well connected in the Memphis & Mid-South community. He formed this company to help assist, educate, and empower others to overcome challenges associated with disputes and conflict in efforts to help upbuild a more positive, productive, and healthy community.

 

    Robert Gray is an experienced paraprofessional who currently works in city government and holds a Master of Science in Business Administration/ Human Resource and a Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution/Mediation. Robert obtains extensive skills, experiential knowledge and formal education in human resource, behavior management, and crisis intervention. He is also a licensed and ordained minister who has nearly 30 years of experience in ministry and stress and anger management workshop facilitation.  

       Gray is a native Memphian who values faith, family, diversity, innovation, and service to the community. As the youngest male of a 10 siblings, a loving husband and father, and a Christian minister, Mr. Gray  has strong interpersonal skills and is well acquainted with working with people and has a natural gift of peacemaking. Gray's value for diversity is expressed in his ability to speak workplace Spanish and his in-depth knowledge of world religions. He welcomes community members of all backgrounds into session.
